Hi all,

In trying to move on from our infertility, we have sometimes referred to others being even less fortunate than ourselves.

On holiday recently, I read a wonderful book called ‘Brixton Beach’ which is essentially about the effects of Civil war on human lives. The book is actually about the authors own personal experience – her childhood in Sri Lanka, long sea passage to London and then adapting to life in London. It Is deeply moving in that the description of life in Sri Lanka during the intense civil war must have been horrific. I cannot pretend this book has a particularly happy ending, but it is very thought provoking and the last message is one of peace.
