1 IN 6 ARE STRUGGLING WITH FERTILITY CHALLENGES; ALL ARE OF WORKING AGE

Fertility in the Workplace, part of Fertility Network UK, supports employers and employees across Wales to better navigate the challenges of balancing work alongside fertility treatment. If you live or work in Wales and are trying to access fertility treatment, you may be facing difficult conversations at work, whether about time off for appointments, the emotional impact of treatment or concerns about job security. Many people are unsure where to start, or how to explain their situation to an employer who may have little understanding of fertility issues.

We believe that open, informed conversations can make a real difference. That’s why we work with both individuals and organisations in Wales to help create space for supportive, compassionate dialogue around fertility in the workplace.

Support for you and your employer

We can come to your organisation to:

  • Help you understand how to start a conversation with your employer about fertility treatment
  • Support employers to better understand the realities of fertility treatment and its impact at work
  • Encourage a more open, supportive workplace culture where fertility can be discussed safely and sensitively

Our approach is about starting the conversation, breaking down stigma and helping everyone feel more confident talking about fertility at work.

This work in Wales is funded by the Welsh Lottery, enabling us to offer this support to organisations and individuals across the country.

Mae Ffrwythlondeb yn y Gweithle, rhan o Fertility Network UK, yn cefnogi cyflogwyr a gweithwyr ledled Cymru i lywio heriau cydbwyso gwaith ochr yn ochr â thriniaeth ffrwythlondeb yn well.

Mae llawer o bobl yn ansicr ble i ddechrau, neu sut i esbonio eu sefyllfa i gyflogwr a allai fod â dealltwriaeth gyfyngedig o faterion ffrwythlondeb.

Credwn y gall sgyrsiau agored a gwybodus wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol. Dyna pam rydym yn gweithio gydag unigolion a sefydliadau yng Nghymru i helpu i greu lle ar gyfer deialog gefnogol a thosturiol ynghylch ffrwythlondeb yn y gweithle.

  • Eich helpu i ddeall sut i ddechrau sgwrs gyda’ch cyflogwr am driniaeth ffrwythlondeb
  • Cefnogi cyflogwyr i ddeall realiti triniaeth ffrwythlondeb a’i heffaith yn y gwaith yn well
  • Annog diwylliant gweithle mwy agored a chefnogol lle gellir trafod ffrwythlondeb yn ddiogel ac mewn modd sensitif

Mae ein dull o weithredu yn ymwneud â dechrau’r sgwrs, chwalu stigma, a helpu pawb i deimlo’n fwy hyderus yn siarad am ffrwythlondeb yn y gwaith.
