I started looking after the More to Life area of the Fertility Network UK in September 2017. I myself am childless not by choice and, have experienced an intrusive and heartbreaking fertility journey over the last 6 years, I know what it is to try to work out what to do when it doesn’t look like your plan A is going to happen.
Deciding to move on after treatment can be a very difficult decision and not one that is made quickly or lightly. It can take weeks, months, even years to come to terms with a life unexpected. Even when the decision is made, the grief that one feels can still be triggered at the most unlikely, or likely, times.
More to Life was set up as a place where people can safely make that decision and move forwards with their lives, surrounded by others who are childless not by choice too. It offers refuge and the opportunity to be with people who understand you, to make new friends and to learn and grow together. It is a place of support, positivity and learning for those who want to help themselves but aren’t sure how to do it – or are looking for even more inspiration. Most of all though, it is a place that you can turn to.
