Have your say on fertility services in West Kent
With a growing gap between the money available to pay for NHS care and the costs the NHS faces, NHS West Kent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is considering reducing the number of cycles of IVF that would be funded by the NHS. This would enable more investment in other health and care services.
Currently, couples in west Kent who meet the eligibility criteria are entitled to a maximum of four attempts to get pregnant through IVF, in two cycles.
To hear more and give your views about this in principle, you are invited to one of two public events. These are in:
- Maidstone on Thursday 22 November, 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Oakwood House, Oakwood Rd, Maidstone ME16 8AE
- oaks on Thursday 29 November, 2pm to 4pm at the Stag Theatre, London Road, Sevenoaks TN13 1ZZ.
Adam Wickings, Deputy Managing Director of NHS West Kent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “We are currently considering making some changes to spending on fertility treatment in west Kent. At this stage of the process, which is not a formal consultation, we are seeking you views. This will help us to inform our thinking on the matter.”
If you would like to attend the event, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 03000 424348.
You can also give your views by filling in the on-line survey, which is open until 1 December 2018: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WKIVF
