Seamonster, the Story

12 Aug 2019 The Outhouse, Broughton Street Lane, Edinburgh, UK

This new Edinburgh fringe Solos show shines light on the invisible loss of being childless not by choice. A journey through denial, grief and acceptance but ultimately a message of hope through the power of witness. Appearing for 2 nights only, August 12 and 19, at this year’s PBH’s Free Fringe, Seamonster, the Story is a solo theatre piece with music by Italian-Scottish singer-songwriter Chiara Berardelli, relating her experience of being childless-not-by-choice and her quest for being ok with that.

Centered around the ten songs from her Seamonster album, Chiara tackles the often taboo but ever present subject of grief and building a meaningful life beyond the ‘Happy Ever After’.

12th and 19th August 2019
