This UK group is for anyone who is struggling to conceive and have also experienced pregnancy loss after trying for a baby for a long time or/and following fertility treatment.

Pregnancy Loss group meetings are taking on a new format to best support attendees.
 
This month’s session format is:
 
Opening Check-in (15 minutes)
• Brief introduction from each participant (first name only)
• One word to describe how they’re feeling today
• Share one hope for what they’d like to gain from the group
Explore grief responses to pregnancy loss before/after/during fertility treatment
• The complex grief response unique to fertility-related losses
• The compounded grief of loss after treatment
• How medical trauma can complicate the grieving process
• Trauma responses (hypervigilance, intrusive thoughts, etc.)
Creating Personal Grounding Kit
• Each participant identifies their personal trauma response patterns
• Introduce 5-4-3-2-1 sensory grounding technique
• Practice deep breathing with hand on heart technique
• Create personalised list of grounding objects/activities
• Discuss “emotional first aid kit” and have participants start creating one
Supportive Discussion to identify triggers and safety strategies
• Structured sharing of common triggers
• Brainstorm strategies for preparing for known triggers
• Discussion of early warning signs of emotional overwhelm
• Creating a personal safety plan for difficult moments Closing Ritual (10 minutes)
• Grounding visualization exercise
• Each participant shares one thing they’re taking away from today
• Introduction of a group mantra/affirmation that will be repeated each session
