Pregnancy and baby loss can be a very private grief as it is a subject that many find too painful to talk about. For those going through fertility treatment, the fear of future loss can be ever present.
Bourn Hall Clinic’s October Virtual Fertility Support Group meeting will focus on this difficult subject, and explore ways in which individuals and couples can gain strength and with the right support, move forward on their fertility journey. Our meeting occurs a week after the global ‘Wave of Light’ when people are encouraged to light a candle to remember all the babies that have died.
We are fortunate to be joined by two guest speakers at our meeting: Karen Burgess, CEO and Founder of Petals, a specialist baby loss counselling charity and Abi Ingrey, a Bourn Hall IVF patient who had eight miscarriages before being referred for IVF. The support group is facilitated by Independent Fertility Counsellor, Jackie Stewart.
Bourn Hall’s Fertility Support Group is free to join, and held monthly using Zoom. It gives you the opportunity to talk to other people experiencing infertility within a mutually supportive and empathetic environment. ‘If you would like to join the group, please register here and Sharon Harper the Group Administrator will be in touch with further details of how to join.
