Bourn Hall Clinic webinar: Endometriosis and Fertility
11 Mar 2021
Thursday March 11 at 7pm
Up to half of women with endometriosis – where tissue can grow over the ovaries, fallopian tubes and other organs – are affected by fertility issues. In addition, surgery to alleviate the symptoms can sometimes cause damage to the reproductive organs.
At this webinar Dr Thanos Papathanasiou, Medical Director at Bourn Hall Clinic, will explain some of the common, as well as lesser known, symptoms of endometriosis and the treatments available to women who have unable to conceive. He will also be highlighting the importance of women being informed of the option to freeze their eggs prior to any surgery relating to endometriosis.
Dr Papathanasiou will be joined by former Bourn Hall patient Victoria Key who will be sharing her experience of finally being diagnosed with endometriosis after years of painful periods culminated in emergency surgery – and how IVF enabled her to become a mum.
The event is free to attend and will take place over Zoom. To register for a place go to Webinar: Endometriosis and fertility – Bourn Hall Clinic
