Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes clinical commissioning group (CCG) to hold a public consultation

The Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes clinical commissioning group (CCG) is to hold a public consultation on the number of IVF cycles it offers. At present, the recently merged CCG offers different levels of provision: in Luton, fertility patients can access 3 cycles, but in Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire, patients can only access 1 cycle.

 

The CCG report shows that out of the two options the CCG plans to consult on, its preferred option is to reduce the current offer of 3 cycles of IVF to residents in Luton to 1 cycle for all eligible patients. The consultation will run from 12 October – 21 December, with a decision due to be announced in February 2022.
