Mia’s Christening

23 Apr 2017

We chose to have guests at our daughters christening on the 28th August donate to Fertility Network. Without the vital research and support fertility issues receive through donations, people like myself and my husband, Mark, would probably not be parents.

It is a huge topic in today’s news about funding for fertility treatments such as IVF being stripped by CCGs: this makes the fundraising efforts of the general public ever more required to ensure the development of our understanding of overcoming fertility problems. There is also a massive taboo around the subject – it causes so much difficulty for people when suffering with fertility problems and people need to know it is so common, and it is ok to talk about it!

My life would not be worth living without my miracle IVF daughter Mia. She has brought a happiness and completeness to our lives we could never have imagined! We will have to privately fund IVF for any other children we have, and I like to know that charities such as Fertility Network will be there with guidance and support when the NHS can’t be.
