Alice’s Sheffield Half Marathon

9 Apr 2017 Sheffield, United Kingdom

Running the Sheffield Half Marathon will be the biggest challenge for me yet. I want to run on behalf of Fertility Network – a charity which I admire. As a sufferer of PCOS, I know that in the future I could face fertility issues. It is clear to me that this charity offers an invaluable service to those that face trouble conceiving and therefore I’d love to help in any way I can.

Update from Alice:

‘Taking part in a half marathon was never something I saw myself doing a few years ago. I never thought I could achieve such a thing! The event day was a scorcher and somehow I managed it! It took a lot of inner strength and at the forefront of my mind was the money I’ve raised by doing the marathon. I was so grateful to everyone who donated and the awareness I raised for Fertility Network UK. I was particularly touched by a donation and message from someone I don’t personally know. They are expecting an IVF baby and wished me luck (if you are reading this, thank you!). I felt very honoured to run on behalf of your charity, so thank you.’
