Volunteers make a huge difference to the work of the charity, enabling us to reach out to many more individuals.

Fertility Group Volunteer / Peer Support Volunteer

Fertility support groups provide a much needed opportunity to meet up virtually with others who understand the issues. Sharing experiences can help you feel less isolated, more supported and more able to cope with everything.

You do need to commit a few hours each month to running and facilitating the group. Providing much needed support can be extremely rewarding.

Become a media volunteer

Personal stories are often the best way to highlight the impact which fertility problems have on the 3.5 million people who experience difficulties conceiving.  Single women, as well as same sex couples, often face different but equally difficult issues when trying to conceive.  For those who are not successful in having their family, facing the challenges of childlessness is often vastly misunderstood.

Sharing your story can help bring better understanding of the physical, emotional and psychological impact of fertility problems and it is an invaluable way to help us raise awareness of fertility issues.

Become a student ambassador volunteer (Scotland and Wales only)

Become a Student Ambassador Volunteer at your College or University on our behalf. Help raise awareness of how young people can protect their future fertility by the choices they make now. Knowledge can make all the difference. With fertility problems affecting 1 in 6 couples, we believe we need to empower young people to make informed choices by providing education surrounding all aspects of fertility.

Become a Fertility In The Workplace Volunteer

FiTW volunteers are an integral part of our team and support us in delivering our message to employers, who are looking to better understand what fertility treatments can entail for employees. You will be invited to deliver our lunch and learn presentations, on behalf of the team, either virtually or in person, and to share your lived experience of juggling fertility treatment whilst working. You will have the opportunity to present to large and small organisations and answer questions based on your own personal experience.

We are preferably looking for someone who is confident to speak in public and has a professional working background. You will receive full training and ongoing 1:1 support. This is an extremely rewarding role and will help to make a significant difference in influencing change in the workplace.

In addition to our main volunteer role, we have opportunities for administrative, social media and research support in the FiTW department as well.
